The Bindery

An eclectic urban space in Northeast Portland featuring a spacious atrium filled with natural light and an underground winery. Designed with Portland’s vibrant creative community in mind, this 30,000 square foot commercial building offers outstanding opportunities for restaurants, coffee and gourmet food shops, unique retailers, artisans and creative offices.

Where a book binding shop once stood, The Bindery is an old, and until recently, forgotten building on a stretch of Sandy Boulevard long known for car dealerships and drive-thru restaurants. Today, this area, surrounded by established neighborhoods like Laurelhurst, Irvington and Hollywood, is about to be transformed into a thriving urban destination.

The Bindery opened in August 2013.

The Bindery Annex

BAnnex Exterior

Built in the 1950’s as a carton box factory and a book bindery, The Bindery Annex is very much an extension of the nearby, successful Bindery building project on Sandy Blvd that opened in August 2013. Like the Bindery, attention is being paid to the details of The Annex restoration and the design aesthetics.

The Annex offers an energetic, yet casual and comfortable setting with an industrial edge and shared, open space concept.  This multipurpose space is well suited for fitness, food and fun – bringing together urban neighborhoods to inspire a community of proprietors, entrepreneurs and creative of all sorts, who share a passion for excellence and a love of sharing what they do best.

The Bindery Annex opens in Winter 2014.
